With only 3000+ people, our community-based town is very small. To find more activities, we search area towns to see what their community centers offer.
Besides being very economical, we could find multiple activities that offered playgroups and an open gym for the kids. The kids had fun, developed new friendships, and burned off energy, and the moms had an opportunity to become friends too.
The verdict, it was a perfect solution for everyone.

Library and Story Hours
Like exploring community centers, we were sure to search outside our town to find story hours. We were going up to 3 story hours per week at one point. One library even made breakfast after, so everyone had a chance to socialize and become friends!
Luckily, this is where we met our favorite families and y amazing SAHM friendships.
Volunteer Groups
As we all know, there are multiple benefits of volunteering, and making new friends is one of them. If you decide to have your children join you, it teaches them the importance of giving back to their community.
However, as moms, we need time without our favorite little humans. Joining a volunteer group might be the perfect way to make new SAHM friendships that share the same passion as you.
