Melissa is an imperfect mom, wife, and human. It was not until motherhood, did she recognize that being imperfect normal.
With every mistake, guilt and anxiety would consume her. Especially, when she acknowledged that she was always going to be an imperfect mom.
Blessed with the realization she needed more, her podcast, Mom Treading Water was created.
Undoubtedly, she knew all imperfect moms have moments where they are trying to keep their heads above water.
Unfiltered, she is revealing her imperfections in hopes of helping all moms, see they are not alone.
As a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM) to her son, Jackson, and daughter, Mickey her life is filled with love, and some days she is a mom treading water.
She’s been married for over 10 years to her best friend and biggest supporter, James. She knows that James loves her unconditionally and is accepting of her as an imperfect mom, wife, and human.

Before Becoming an Imperfect Mom
Before becoming a mom, Melissa started her career in higher education and later transitioned into sales. She earned a B.A. from Bridgewater State College and an M.Ed. from Boston University.
For self-care time, she enjoys performing in musical theater, singing, gardening, running, yoga, hiking, sewing, baking, cooking, and entertaining guests.
